Events Forum 2018

Southern Grampians Shire Council is committed to helping develop the knowledge, skills and confidence of our local event organisers to run safe, successful and legally compliant events.

The Events Forum is an annual day for event organisers, community groups, volunteers, businesses, entrepreneurs, venue owners and those working in the events space to come together and learn from industry experts and peers, develop skills, network and be inspired through talks, workshops, information and hands-on learning.

The theme this year is Growing Your Audience - focussing on the perspectives of your target market, the experience of event attendees, event staff and volunteers, sponsors and other stakeholders.

A host of talented guest speakers, event organisers and industry experts will share their advice and expertise on planning, marketing, funding and developing your events to meet your goals in relation to your audience.

This includes guidance on targeted marketing, event planning and achieving financial sustainability amongst other topics.

Whether you organise a community event, work for a business who run small events, have an event idea you'd like to see get off the ground, or own a venue which is perfect for business events and meetings - this is a day not to be missed!

There will also be opportunities to enjoy local food and drinks, win locally-sourced prizes and network within the tourism and events industry.

Attendance also puts you in the draw to win a FREE holiday to Fiji, New Caledonia or Thailand!

The Events Forum 2018 is FREE but you must register your place by June 8th!
