Southern Grampians Shire Council is inviting all interested members of the Greater Hamilton community to our inaugural Year in Review.
Taking place on Wednesday 31 October, this special event will celebrate the achievements and explore the challenges of the 2017-2018 financial year for the Southern Grampians Shire Council.
Southern Grampians Shire Council Mayor Mary-Ann Brown said Council were looking forward to presenting the year’s highlights.
“This will be the first time this Council have taken the opportunity to publicly present the year in review and celebrate our achievements with community members,” Cr Brown said.
“Under the new Local Government Act, which comes into effect following the 2020 Council elections, it will become legislated that council’s host an Annual General Meeting, similar to other large organisations. We are getting on the front foot and starting now as we feel it’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with our community and communicate what we’ve achieved in the last 12 months.
“We invite everyone to come along and join us in what promises to be a memorable evening,” Cr Brown said.
The Year in Review will be hosted in the Hamilton Gallery commencing at 6pm and following a presentation by the Mayor Mary-Ann Brown and CEO Michael Tudball, refreshments will be served.
