Cinema Popping-Up in Hamilton this week

An outdoor cinema is popping up in Hamilton this week, thanks to Southern Grampians Shire Council, Hamilton Cinema, Hamilton Performing Arts Centre, Taylor Toyota, TAC and Prime Super.

Cinema Pop up will run for four nights only, from Thursday 7 December up to and including Sunday 10 December, and is catering for all featuring the following favourite movies:

  • Thursday 7 December – Inside Out
  • Friday 8 December – The Lego Batman Movie
  • Saturday 9 December – The Goonies
  • Sunday 10 December – Elf

Tickets are available for purchase at the gate from only $10 for adults and $5 for children however, if you book online, tickets are FREE.

Gates open at 6pm nightly, with movies starting at nightfall. Food trucks, games and free activities are available prior to the movie starting, plus a free lolly bar for a kids and a bar serving drinks for the adults! Patrons are encouraged to get along early and take advantage of the food trucks on site, and be aware that outside food and drinks are not permitted. For general admission tickets, bring along picnic blankets to sit on the grass, and for those wanting a little more comfort, bean beds are available for hire for $15 online and $20 at the gate.

“Tickets for Friday and Sunday night have been exceptionally popular and will sell out, whilst tickets for Thursday and Saturday nights screening of Inside Out and The Goonies still remain available. We’d love to see everyone in the Greater Hamilton region get behind Cinema Pop Up and come along to the outdoor cinema while it is in town” said Event Director, Kate Hardwick.
