Coming to Australia as an immigrant from Italy in the early fifties, building a life and raising his family here, working for the public transport in the engineering field and also being a councillor back in Melbourne has given Albert a wealth of experience.
On the 10th of December 1993, Albert and his wife bought and ran the Hospital shop for approximately 30 years where a lot of experience was gained in meeting all types and characters with different issues.
Albert is honoured to have been elected to represent this community and believes that it doesn’t matter who you are or where or where you come from, we can all contribute to making the community a better place.
The pinnacle of Albert's time was undoubtedly when he was elected Mayor by his fellow colleagues. To have their support and to lead the Council was an honour and he thoroughly enjoyed the role, challenges and opportunities that came with it.
As a councillor Albert represents the whole of the Southern Grampians Shire, working and engaging with other townships gives him great satisfaction in achieving their wishes.
Albert is proud to see the hard work undertaken with the masterplanning of the Hamilton CBD over the last ten years coming to fruition under new CEO Tony Doyle and is looking forward to completion of works on Cox Street and Melville Oval.
Albert is passionate to support our local towns with their visions and ideas
