Helen was born in Digby and grew up working on the family farm and loves farm life. Helen's other playgrounds were the Black Ranges, the Grampians, and the Wannon River. Helen has a deep affinity for rolling pastures, volcanic plains, redgums, and freshwater rivers. Helen ate hot chips after netball in Coleraine, went camping on the Wannon, and came to Hamilton once a month for groceries. Helen grew up a part of a strong rural community and believes we all must contribute to our communities to remain vibrant and viable. Service and connection is the lifeblood of our area.

Helen is a teacher and believes in our local young people and seeks to create outcomes to give them choice and voice. Helen runs an engineering business here in town as the financial and strategic planner and believes there are many opportunities for responsible economic sustainability and growth in our shire through efficacy and investment into important inter-generational projects.  Helen seeks brave truth telling and reconciliation with our First Nations peoples.  Helen will work to protect agriculture and encourage further diversity in business development in the area.

Helen chooses to live here because Southern Grampians is her heart home.
