Cr Rainsford has been a Councillor at Southern Grampians Shire Council since 2004.
She focuses on improved customer service, greater transparency, increased community empowerment through advisory committees and economic development campaigning for better roads, return of passenger rail to Western Victoria, local meat processing and equitable support and planning for all township and Hamilton community facilities.
Cr Rainsford is a veterinarian and owns three vet clinics in the region. Her family farm produces fine wool, prime lambs and beef.
Cr Rainsford is a former Telstra Western Victorian Rural Woman of the Year and has served as a Councillor on the West Wimmera Council.
