Southern Grampians Volcanic Trail

Volcanic sites within the Southern Grampians have remained relatively undeveloped and largely overlooked as a tourist destination.

The development of a formally recognised Volcanic Trail is an opportunity to not only develop the visitor economy of the shire, but to preserve and protect these important sites for future generations.

Such an attraction would seamlessly integrate and complement other major drawcards including the Coonawarra wine region, the Great Ocean Road, Grampians National Park (Gariwerd) and the World Heritage listed Budj Bim Cultural Landscape that shares the same volcanic history.
