Get Ready for School Holiday Fun in the Southern Grampians!
With the school holidays just around the corner, Southern Grampians Shire Council is excited to announce another stellar lineup of activities to keep all the kids entertained, inspired, and engaged.
From creative crafts to mesmerising movies, there’s something to cure all the boredom.
Southern Grampians Shire Council Acting Mayor Afton Barber said these activities offer a mix of free and low-cost options to ensure every family can join in the fun.
“With a diverse range of activities council aims to create fun for all ages, from young children through to teenagers these school holidays,” said Cr Barber.
Gather your kids and their friends and join us for a fun-filled program. Here’s a sneak peak of the must-attend events.
Saturday 29 March – Josephine wants to Dance
Get the kids in the holiday spirit with a pre-school holiday performance of Josephine. She's bold. She's bouncy. She's back! A hilarious musical about self-discovery, ballet, hip-hop and...a kangaroo.
Wednesday, 9 April – Moviecraft: "Dogman"
Get creative in making a mini Dogman theatre followed by the entertaining movie experience that’s perfect for young film enthusiasts.
Thursday, 10 April – Anime Drawing Workshop
Let their imaginations soar as they learn to create amazing art in this step-by-step anime workshop.
Saturday, 12 April – Shadow Puppets: Asia Raya
Discover the enchanting world of shadow puppetry in this culturally rich and engaging session bringing traditional folk story to life. There will even be a chance for the kids to participate in interactive dance.
Monday, 14 April – Create and Decorate Your Own Bunny Mirror
A fun Easter themed session to unleash the kids creativity with this hands-on craft session that’s as fun as it is memorable.
Wednesday, 16 April – Moviecraft: "Minecraft"
For the older kids - Join the adventure with this thrilling and imaginative film inspired by the popular game, immerse yourself in 3D paper making of character Steve.
Thursday, 17 April – "The Animals of the Magical Mountain"
Come on a journey full of singing, dancing and adventure with Wozza from Australia and his animal friends.
