Council Invites Local Businesses to Join Sustainability Business Break

Southern Grampians Shire Council is excited to invite all forward-thinking local business owners to attend a complimentary Sustainability Business Breakfast. 

Date: Thursday, 23 May 2024  
Time: 7:00am – 9:00am  
Location: The Speckled Frog, Hamilton 

“This event is tailored for businesses interested in building a sustainable future,” said Mayor Councillor David Robertson.  

“Join us as we bring together a community of like-minded individuals to share insights, learn from local experts, and network with peers.” 

Our lineup of speakers includes three esteemed local professionals with invaluable experience and insights: 

  • Anna Sweeney (Sustainable Farming Practices): With a diverse background spanning International Development, Sustainable Agriculture, and Community Engagement, Anna Sweeney brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. As Chairperson of the Western District Health Service Board, she is committed to driving positive change in our region. 
  • Elisha Nettleton (Sustainable Plastic Solutions): Elisha, the Research and Development Manager for Hamilton's own Sustainable Plastic Solutions, focuses on innovative trials for new products and formulations. Discover the latest advancements in recycling and sustainable solutions for plastics in industrial, retail, and agricultural settings. 
  • Ailiche Goddard-Clegg (Deakin University Hycel Program): Ailiche specializes in best practice communication and engagement, fostering social license for sustainable futures. Leading Hycel's hydrogen social license pillar at Deakin University, she brings together research, industry, and community to develop outcomes for broad benefit. 

The breakfast will feature a buffet to kickstart your morning of idea sharing, learning, and networking.
