Event signage

If you require event signage Council have a range of subsidised offers for your club or organisation to consider.

Temporary Road Closure

Some events may require a temporary road closure for public safety. Our Events Support Officer will guide you through the required processes.

Waste Wise Trailer Hire

Council offers a waste wise trailer for hire should events require additional waste services. Trailers contain 12 bins and bin caps (6 waste & 6 recycling). Users must arrange for the bins to be emptied and cleaned prior to returning to the landfill. Users are responsible for the waste disposal fee.

Emergency Risk and Management

Emergency and risk management is a very important part of all event planning and to ensure for a safe and successful event. Emergency management, extreme weather, OH&S and child safety all need to be considered as part of your event plan.

Marketing

We can plug your event into council's many marketing platforms on a local, regional, and national level to achieve maximum exposure. It’s important for events to consider professional graphic design services and event photography/videography to assist your marketing efforts beyond the actual event date.

Insurance

It is the responsibility of the event organiser to hold an appropriate public liability insurance and to also determine the need for any necessary permits required to host a safe and legally compliant event. Southern Grampians Shire Council accepts no liability on behalf of an event. This is a requirement to complete as part of the event notification process.
