Melville Oval is located in central Hamilton, hosts a range of regional AFL, cricket and netball events. The construction of competition lighting on the oval and netball courts in 2015, now see many night fixtures held at the venue.
Commemorating William Melville, one of the most distinguished servants of Hamilton, Melville Oval is a popular sporting venue in Hamilton, currently undergoing extensive works. When reopened, it will be home to a first-class footy oval and Netball courts, new clubrooms, a refurbished Edwardian grandstand, a new function centre, a playground, an events space and much more.
