Childcare Subsidy

Family Day Care Fees - 2022-2023

The Child Care Subsidy (CSS) is an Australian Government payment which assists families with the cost of childcare. The Child Care Subsidy is paid directly to Child Care Providers to pass onto families as fee reductions.

The level of Child Care Subsidy a family receives depends on three things; your combined family income, the activity level of parents, and the type of child care service determine the level of Child Care Subsidy your family will receive.

Beginning 1 July 2019, the current hourly rate cap for Family Day Care is $11.10 per hour per child. You can click here to get a Child Care Subsidy estimate.

It is the families’ responsibility to ensure that you have applied to the Family Assistance Office/Centrelink for Child Care Subsidy prior to commencement, otherwise full fees will be charged. You can apply by accessing your Centrelink Online Account through the myGov website at www.my.gov.au.

Further information can be found in our Information Handbook or by visiting www.education.gov.au/childcare.
