Southern Grampians Shire Council Mayor David Robertson said Council is looking forward to bringing in the New Year with spectacular fireworks at Melville Oval that can be enjoyed by the whole family.

“It’s great to have the Council Fireworks display return again to Hamilton to celebrate what has been another long year in returning to normal life as we know it,” said Cr Robertson.

“The fireworks display is just another way we as a Council can provide some joy and entertainment for our Southern Grampians residents so we look forward to sharing a brilliant display with our community.

“The Rotary Street Party is also back this year and will bring a lot of fun to the evening with festivities located at the Melville Oval Netball Courts set to begin from 5:30pm.

“If you are spending your New Year’s Eve locally, pop down to the event and have some New Year’s fun right here in the Southern Grampians,” concluded Cr Robertson.

In preparation for the fireworks set up, Melville Oval will be closed to public from 4:00pm 30 December 2022 re-opening after pack down at 12:00pm 2 January 2023.
